There are many methods to dissolve and prevent gallstones in the alternative health field. Though we have not investigated these specifically to make a recommendation we can share some of what we have found. If the gallbladder attacks are not too severe start on Dr. Sircus' protocol of magnesium, iodine and baking soda right away. You may want to consult with Dr. Sircus for specific recommendations.
From the National Institutes of Health: Gallstone-related disorders are common and costly, but preventive measures are largely unexplored. Lifestyle risk factors include physical activity, obesity/overweight, and diet. Increasing consumption of magnesium appears to decrease the risk of symptomatic gallstones in men, although the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Understanding the role of a healthy diet in gallstone-related diseases, including a diet high in magnesium, may lead to new preventive measures. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18289201
Magnesium has been found to play an important role in prevention of gallstones as far back as 1931, by Dr. Pierre Delbert.
It is increasingly clear from D's experience of rapid pain relief from kidney stones, (see Testimonials in Global Light newsletter last week) and that of so many others of us using Magnesium Oil for local pain relief, that this is a rapidly effective remedy for pain relief of many different types and causes, often outshining anything else tried, including the strongest of pain medications: morphine, where its been found to significantly reduce the need for high doses in cancer patients.
These attacks are intensely painful, similar to that of a kidney stone attack. One way to alleviate the abdominal pain is to drink a full glass of water at the start of an attack to regulate the bile in the gallbladder, but this does not work in all cases. Another way is to take magnesium followed by a bitter liquid such as coffee or swedish bitters an hour later. Bitter flavors stimulate bile flow. A study has found lower rates of gallstones in coffee drinkers. A magnesium dosage equivalent to 240mg. before a cup of coffee has been found effective in dissolving gallstones: http://www.ehow.com/how_5606766_dissolve-gall-stones.html Often, gall bladder attacks occur after a particularly fatty meal and almost always happen at night. Other symptoms include abdominal bloating, intolerance of fatty foods, belching, gas, and indigestion. If the above symptoms coincide with chills, lowgrade fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes, and/or clay-colored stool, a doctor should be consulted immediately." (Wikipedia)
In addition to the prevention of kidney stones there is evidence that magnesium can prevent gallstones Our medical dictionary says that thegallstones is a concretion formed in the bladder or the biliary ducts, composed, in varying amounts, of cholesterol, bilirubin, and other elements found in bile. The biliary ducts are in the liver. Also the use of food cooked in a microwave should be stopped. There are various gall bladder cleanses available . In this case also, magnesium is a specific preventive factor in the formation of gall- or liver stones.
Fulvic acid/Humic Acid to Loosen gallstones:
The use of olive oil and orange juice together has helped pass gall stones see the reports at Earthclinic; http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/gallstones.html and http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/gall_bladder_attacks.html
Of note is the fact that even magnesium, bicarbonate and iodine will aid in dissolving gall stones. Be mindful however, that if the symptoms described above: chills, low-grade fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes, and/or clay-colored stool, a doctor should be consulted immediately." This indicates more of an emergency and must be treated immediately. Apple cider vinegar can also be helpful.
I have polyps in my gall bladder. What is the protocol for that. I use 1 tbsp. Apple cider vinegar in a cup of alkaline water with a squeeze of lemon & a 2 dashes of cayenne every morning on an empty stomach for Candida. Will this aggravate my gallbladder. Could it have caused the polyps?
Thank you
